Six Senses Ibiza Set to Open July 2021

Six Senses Ibiza is set to debut this July as the first sustainable BREEAM-certified resort and residential community in the Balearics. It’s something we’ve been keeping tabs on for quite some time now.

In total there are 116 guest accommodations, villas, suites and beachfront caves across a 20-acre site. Available to a handful of owners are Village Residences with intimate terraces, lush gardens and pools. Guests of the resort can expect four organic restaurants, a recording studio and Six Senses Spa; there will also be a Guest Experience Maker to personalize guest stays.

Culinary

Six Senses Ibiza will be the first European outpost for celebrity chef Eyal Shani, founding father of new Israeli cuisine. His menus will follow the “Eat With Six Senses” guiding principles of organic, seasonal, nutritious and delicious. Other signature venues, including The Orchard, The Piazza, Farmacy Bar and Live Cave, will be complemented by “grow-your-own veg,” chef’s table and cooking lessons at the Farm programming. Pretty cool: The Farm at Six Senses Ibiza a 400-year-old olive press and agricultural estate. Here, guests will take part in growing organic produce that will supply the resort’s restaurants, café and bars.

Virtual Event

Pivoting Back to Travel, The Destination Weddings & Honeymoons Edition

2020 put the nuptial plans of thousands upon thousands of couples on hold, but with the promise of widespread vaccine distribution in the near future, it’s time to get back to planning and ensure your clients live out the destination weddings & honeymoons of their dreams. Hear from top suppliers and destinations on wedding venue & ceremony options, romantic destinations & resorts and more when you watch the event on-demand.

Wellness and Spa

The Six Senses Spa houses single and couple’s treatment rooms, a steam room, hammam and fitness area, café and juice bar. The Rose Bar offers guests a range of healing and preventative longevity programs, combining diagnostics, biohacking, nutrition and beauty treatments. Outdoors, there is an impressive yoga deck and boxing ring on the roof.

Good to know: Six Senses Ibiza will offer a series of “teaser weekends,” along with longer-stay retreats themed around yoga, cleansing and fitness.

Music, Fashion, Arts and Culture

Six Senses Ibiza will add an enticing new spectrum to the Ibiza music scene. Directly on the shorefront, the Beach Caves music venue is the heartbeat of the resort. Hosting live shows, events, emerging artist sessions and an expansive vinyl collection, the Beach Caves features avant-garde technology from McIntosh and Sonus faber through a partnership with McIntosh Group. There is even a Cave Royale guestroom with a secret door leading to the Recording Studio.

Six Senses Ibiza celebrates sustainable fashion at the Agora, a new retail concept, a part-entertainment, part-education and part-shopping experience. Curated by the fashion editors Daniela Agnelli and Tiffanie Darke, it seeks to tell a story in a series of chapters: “Reduce,” “Recycle,” “Rent” and “Restore.” Highlights of the store will be a “live magazine” experience, a “Cinderella Room” for dress-up nights and an Intention Tree for customers to remember the change.

The resort will also be home to an art gallery with displays by Magnum photographers, curated by Elaine Groenestein to reflect the destination. Along with photography events and workshops, a larger selection of fine prints will be available through the Magnum Gallery. There will also be a library.

Six Senses Ibiza is a 35-minute private transfer from the airport.
