Boutique Hotel Palazzo Talìa Opens in Rome

Palazzo Talìa has opened its doors in the heart of Rome. Dating to the 16th century, the building underwent a three-year restoration project before being transformed into a 26-key luxury boutique hotel.

Palazzo Talìa’s public spaces and a signature suite have been designed by studiolucaguadagnino, marking the studio’s first venture in luxury hospitality. Each of the remaining 25 unique rooms and suites have been designed by MIA Home Design Gallery and Laura Feroldi Studio.

The team of studiolucaguadagnino, founded by Luca Guadagnino in 2017, designed all public spaces including the restaurant, bar and spa. One of the stand-out pieces is a monumental floral carpet, guiding guests through the property, leading to the central staircase and the 2,670-square-foot Magna Hall, adorned with 18th-century frescoes by painter Gaspare Serenari. (This space can be reserved for private events or along with adjacent suites such as the Talìa Suite.)

Studiolucaguadagnino also designed the Terrace Suite on the top floor, complete with peach wood paneling and a 710-square-foot terrace overlooking the inner courtyard. Brimming with tropical greenery and curated by landscape artist Blu Mambor, this space doubles as a lounge, housing the bar and part of the restaurant’s seating, both open to hotel guests.

Architect Marianna Lubrano Lavadera from the design studio and store MIA Home Design Gallery, along with architect Laura Feroldi from Laura Feroldi Studio, designed the interiors of the remaining 25 rooms. Each room is unique, with much of the furniture being one-of-a-kind, handmade pieces, offering a blend of classic and contemporary style.

Helmed by Italian Chef Marco Coppola, Tramae Restaurant offers a menu ranging from traditional Roman dishes to the diverse flavors of Italian cuisine, all crafted with seasonal ingredients. Beneath the frescoed ceilings or in the outdoor Palazzo Patio, Bar Della Musa invites guests to enjoy cocktails, champagne and a selection of wines.
