Tour operator Blue Parallel is expanding its offerings with the launch of Iceland Heli-Skiing and new wildlife adventures in Panama’s Azuero Peninsula. Founder and President Emmanuel Burgio is known for creating private, tailor-made itineraries that focus on unique access to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, insider experiences and outdoor adventures. These two new additions are the perfect complement to Blue Parallel’s existing itineraries.
Blue Parallel’s new Iceland Heli-Ski itinerary begins with two nights in Reykjavik, with tours of the city’s cultural and natural highlights, including the historic center and the nearby Golden Circle. Here, travelers can snorkel or scuba dive between tectonic plates in the Silfra fissure, visit the Geysir Hot Spring and witness boiling water shooting 130 feet into the air, and admire the Gullfoss Waterfall where the Hvítá River roars through canyon walls that extend up to 230 feet.
The adventures continue in the Troll Peninsula where guests will stay at Deplar Farm and embark on a bespoke itinerary of heli-skiing adventures each day. The Troll Peninsula receives some of the highest average snowfalls, creating perfect conditions for heli-skiing against a backdrop of snow-covered peaks, deep fjords and the Arctic Ocean. The heli-ski adventures will be tailored to the ability and preferences of each traveler. There are also a number of other outdoor Arctic activities on offer including snowmobiling, fat biking, surfing and sea kayaking. Guests can make use of Deplar Farm’s amenities, including its Viking Sauna and geothermal indoor/outdoor pool. After four days of heli-skiing, snow and sea activities, the Blue Lagoon awaits with its mineral-rich, blue waters and geothermal spa.
Elsewhere, Blue Parallel’s new tour to Panama’s Azuero Peninsula offers travelers the opportunity to indulge in water-based activities and spot local wildlife. Beginning in Panama City, travelers explore the streets of Casco Viejo (Old Quarter), visit the biodiversity museum designed by Frank Gehry, and view the Panama Canal at the Miraflores Lock. After boarding a private flight to the Azuero Peninsula on Panama’s Pacific Coast, guests will stay at a private estate located on a 1,200-acre jungle reserve with over two miles of beachfront.
Blue Parallel will design outdoor activities tailored to individuals, possibly including horseback riding, snorkeling, fishing for tuna, sailfish, marlin, wahoo, grouper and snapper (all tended to and prepared by a private chef), visits to Iguana Island and its white sand beaches for swimming amongst coral, wildlife immersion with coatimundi, sloths, howler monkeys, and more.
